WATCH: Sachin Tendulkar evokes nostalgia of the 90s with stunning stroke play

India Masters clinched the inaugural International Masters League (IML) 2025 title by defeating West Indies Masters by six wickets in the final on Sunday.
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar shared his joy after winning the tournament with India Masters.

Tendulkar showcased his batting prowess during the tournament, scoring 181 runs in six matches at an average of 30.16 and a strike rate of 153.38, including one half-century. His highest score was 64.
Several India Masters players delivered outstanding performances throughout the tournament. Ambati Rayadu scored 188 runs in five innings with two fifties at a strike rate of 142.42 and an average of 47.00. Yuvraj Singh contributed 179 runs in five innings at an average of 179.00 and a strike rate of 184.53, including one fifty and three wickets. Stuart Binny made 122 runs in four innings at an average of 40.66 with a strike rate of 187.69 and one half-century. Irfan Pathan scored 113 runs in five matches at an average of 56.50 with a strike rate of 185.24, one half-century, and took six wickets.
The bowling department saw strong performances from Pawan Negi, who claimed nine wickets in six matches at an average of 15.66, and Vinay Kumar, who took eight wickets in five matches at an average of 23.62.
The final match was played in front of a packed stadium. India Masters restricted West Indies Masters to 148/7 before successfully chasing down the target.
Tendulkar and Rayudu provided a strong start with a 67-run opening partnership. Tendulkar scored 25 runs off 18 balls, including two boundaries and a six, before being dismissed by Tino Best.
Rayudu continued his aggressive batting, reaching his fifty in 34 balls. He formed a 28-run partnership with Gurkeerat Singh Mann, who scored 14 runs.
Mann was dismissed by Ashley Nurse, bringing Yuvraj Singh to the crease. Rayudu’s innings of 74 runs, featuring nine fours and three sixes, ended when he was caught off Sulieman Benn’s bowling.
Stuart Binny sealed the victory with two sixes, remaining unbeaten on 16 runs. The team needed 17 runs from 28 balls when he came to bat.
Earlier, West Indies Masters chose to bat first. Brian Lara, at 55 years old, opened the innings with Dwayne Smith, and they scored 34 runs in the first four overs.
Vinay Kumar dismissed Lara for 6 runs, followed by William Perkins’ departure for 6 runs to Shahbaz Nadeem.
Smith continued attacking, scoring 45 runs with six boundaries and two sixes before falling to Nadeem.
The Indian spinners Nadeem and Negi controlled the middle overs effectively. Ravi Rampaul was promoted up the order but managed only 2 runs before Stuart Binny dismissed him.
Negi then removed Chadwick Walton for 6 runs. Lendl Simmons held the innings together with a fifty, forming a 61-run partnership with Denesh Ramdin.
Simmons scored 57 runs off 41 balls with five boundaries and a six before getting out in the final over. Ramdin remained unbeaten on 12 runs.
Vinay Kumar was the leading bowler with 3/26, while Shahbaz Nadeem took two wickets. Pawan Negi and Stuart Binny each claimed one wicket.
The final scores were West Indies Masters 148/7 and India Masters 149/4, with Ashley Nurse taking 2/22 for West Indies Masters.
